Some ingredients are so basic to our way of life that we rarely question their value or think of their replacements. Milk, flour, butter, cheese, corn, these are staples that many never have to question and can use anytime. Our family has recently had to eliminate many of our favorite go to dishes and get creative with the rest to keep them in rotation.
