Birthday Pictures and Videos

A Post from Alex's Point of View:

So I had a great birthday, even though I wouldn't touch the cake! I got lots of great presents from all my family and friends. Mostly books which is perfect since I bring a book to Mommy 20 times a day to read. Now we have variety! YEAH.

Here is a neat photo slideshow of my birthday party. It's a little long, so watch what you can, when you can. It will always be here in my journal.

I also got some toys that roll or that I can push around and I have so much fun chasing the puppies around with them. Mom and Dad always get on to me so I'm not sure the puppies like it but I have so much fun. Check out this video of me running and playing. I can also tell you what the Piggy says!

Oh and things have been so busy I guess we forgot to mention our 4th of July vacation. We went to Ya-Ya and Granpop's up in Maryland. Not only did I go on my first boat ride, and get to play with big puppies, Mom also organzied a cross-country get-together for all her Birth Club friends. These are ladies that she has been chatting online with since she first found out she was pregnant with me. 9 of the 20 moms and families made the trip and came for the first Annual Little Leo Fest.

Here are some great shots of us that weekend.

As always there are lots more videos in each of the journal entries. Check them out and stay tuned for more picture slideshows.

Friday's My Birthday!!!

A Post from Alex's Point of View:

YEAH. So Mom has been planning, shopping and preparing for this for weeks now, and I can't wait to see what all the fuss is about. If you don't know, or haven't heard, then check out the invitation to my party below. Everyone is invited to see me make an absolute mess with the huge cake Mom is making just for me.

Lately I have become even more of a ham than usual so be prepared for some major showing off. But give me some credit, I am turning one on Friday and can walk, am really talking up a storm, have between 9-12 teeth (I bite Mom's finger every time she tries to figure out exactly how many), I can get off the couch or bed by myself and I have learned how to play with the puppies. That's a pretty good record if I don't say so myself.

Oh and according to Mom I am becoming a bit of a drama king. What she doesn't understand is that if she just did everything I wanted, I would never have to fuss or throw a fit. Somehow though she just never learns.

Well I got her to put some new pictures in here and am working on her to put up the video of me dancing but she acts like she has other stuff to do. Oh well, maybe she'll get to it after my party.

I can't wait to see everyone, so I hope you'll stop by.

Love

Alex

Walking and Talking Up A Storm

A Post from Alex's Point of View:

Well, Mom has to go run an errand so unfortunately this will be short. I finally figured out what is so great about walking around, you can go so quick! It's taken me a couple of weeks but i have it now! Here's a (long) video of me playing and if you hang around long enough, walking and talking.

Enjoy

Looks like Photobucket cut off the part of me talking. I'll get Mom to upload a new one soon.

My First Concert

So Dad had a comapny picnic on Saturday at the Backyard. I had so much fun. First there was tons of BBQ, beans, rolls and my new favorite, PICKLES! Then the music got started and I danced, bounced and played for hours. I also got to party hop. Everyone was set up on the grass on blankets and I kept going over to check out our neighbors. I even danced with some of them. It was to fun.

Here's the video mom got of me. I know I look kind of crazy but she had to use the nightshot to see me in the dark.

I Love the Beach

Okay so I know Mom has been a slacker and hasn't sent any updates out lately but cut her some slack, she has been busy chasing me around. We just got back from our first family vacation. Dad had to work in Miami so Mom and I tagged along so we could check out the beach.

The beach was okay but there was this weird brown stuff that I didn't like at all. I think Mom called it seaweed. YUCK. It got in the way of all my sand. I liked crawling around in the sand, and kinda liked the waves, but I got splashed in the face and kicked up a big fuss. After that it was pool time.

I met a few cute little girls, but they wouldn't share their toys and silly mom had forgotten to bring me any. I loved the pool and the sun, but didn't care to much for sleeping in the hotel. I made Mom and Dad share their bed. It was a big ole bed, a king or something. Plenty of room for all three of us. We had four different flights ( two each way) and everyone kept telling me I was so good. They went so fast and I didn't fuss a bit.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Oh What a Day!

Image of Austin, TexasImage via Wikipedia

So today was amazing! I hung out with Mom and Dad this morning and since I didn't wake them up last night they were in the best mood. Then Mom and I took Aunt Christine and her boyfriend Justin to this huge old building downtown. I think Mom's gonna post some pictures of it so check them out. After we walked all over this huge building (The Texas state capitol says Mom) we went to eat at Poke Jo's. I took a nap on the way so I would be ready for my first taste of BBQ. Mom ordered me some chopped beef, green bean casserole and corn casserole and got some sliced beef for her. Well it was all to spicy for me. I took one bite of the corn casserole and my whole face turned red and I got so mad. The green beans were okay but the chopped beef was not for me. I'm a brisket man, so Mom gave me her sliced brisket and ate my chopped beef. I love BBQ. I even got a whole bananna for dessert. MMMM. Then we came home, checked on Dad and then headed back out to our neighborhood Homestead Festival (Mom should have some pictures of this too). Boy was that neat. The Homestead is real and was built around 1888. I got to see all kinds of old buildings, a stuffed buffalo and lots of people dressed up in old fashioned clothes. It was really pretty cool. I even got to sit on a pony for the first time. Well I hope you enjoy the pictures, I sure had fun doing everything in them!

and just for fun, here's a recap of Mom, Dad, the puppies and of course Me over the last 18 months!

Hey This Guy's My Size!

A Post from Alex's Point of View:

So yesterday we went to this party thing of Mom's. There were lots of crazy ladies and I got the usual, oh how cute, can I hold you, where's your smile lines, but for once there was someone there my size too.

Check out me meeting up with my fellow Little Leo Maddox from Dallas.

And more good news, Mom finally caved and started feeding me what she makes for Dad. I got Spagetti and I want more!
